Casa Balbina, Crown Point
Casa Balbina has hosted the Crossroads Kiwanis Club for over a year. Obed Ruiz, owner, is huge supporter of our club. Nicole has been our effervescent server each and every week without fail. Do I need to be a member to come to a meeting?
No, you do not need to be a member to join us. ALL are welcome! Please drop in on us, this is your open invite.
Can I make a presentation on behalf of my organization?
We LOVE to have speakers. Do you have an interesting topic? Do you want to bring awareness of your borganization and what you do? Do you just want to share an interesting story or adventure? Please, let us know and we will schedule a time for you! Don’t be shy. Sign up now!
Does Crossroads Kiwanis partner with other groups to help the community?
ABSOLUTELY Success is rarely achieved alone in a vacuum. Our club is always scouting for opportunities to work with other organizations. In the past, we have teamed up with the Merrillville Lions Club and also The Congregations of Merrillville to bring good to the community.
Can I donate money to your Kiwanis Club?
Yes!! You can donate here. We accept most forms of electronic payment. You can honor a person or business or offer a memorial.
Who can be a Member?
Anyone 18+ can join our club. Businesses are welcome to have a Corporate Membership which allows flexibility in who attends from the business.
Are there membership dues / fees??
Yes. Memberships – whether personal or corporate – dues are $150 per year. Crossroads Kiwanis offers new members their first year at 50% off or $75. Not all Kiwanis Clubs offer this. Most business will cover the cost of an employee to be a member because the membership dues are tax deductible.
